Obituary

Dottie J. "Dot" House, 78 of Low Gap, Arkansas finished her race on earth at home on February 16, 2023.

Dot was a lifelong resident of Newton County. Born in Compton on July 20, 1944, as 1 of 10 children to Johnny and Erbie "Beaver" Davidson. She married Melvin House of Low Gap on March 15, 1961 and together they raised three children, Jeanetta, Kelvin, and Kelly Sue.

She worked at the Newton County Nursing Home as the Director of Dietary Services and would still be today if her declining health had not forced her to retire after 38 years.

She attended church at Low Gap Full Gospel Church.

She loved nothing more than to see or talk to her kids and grandkids and to talk to her friends Jane, Bobbie, and Karen every day.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Glenn, Herbert, Perry, Devoe, Brad, Cotton, and Berlin, and her sister Tootie.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin of Low Gap; brother, Joe Davidson of Green Forest; daughter Jeanetta, and husband Eddie Villines of Compton; son, Kelvin and wife Jenny House of Low Gap; and daughter, Kelly and Scott Hicks of Huntsville; grandchildren, Waylon Villines of Compton, Caylon Villines of Compton, Channing Hicks of Huntsville, Amelia Bower of Hasty, and Caleb House of Low Gap; great grandchildren, Brooke and Mesa Villines of Compton, Blane, and Wade Villines of Compton, Braylon, Tinley, and Ryker Hicks of Huntsville, Levi Bower of Hasty, and was anxiously awaiting the birth of Jeremiah House of Low Gap in March.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2023, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Bro. Kenny Clark and Bro. Waylon Villines officiating. Burial will follow in Low Gap Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Kelvin House, Eddie Villines, Scott Hicks, Waylon Villines, Caylon Villines, Channing Hicks, Caleb House, and Paul Bower.

Honorary pallbearers are great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
