Obituary

Dossie I. Carmack, age 86 of Harrison, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010. The daughter of Columbus and Rebeccah (O'Neal) Farmer, she was born July 15, 1923 at Red Rock, Arkansas.

She was retired from Tyson Foods and attended the Batavia Assembly of God Church. She collected and repaired dolls; enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and playing with grandchildren. During World War II and while living in California, she welded airplane manifolds for the Army.

Her parents; husband, Johnny Carmack; two brothers; five sisters; and great granddaughter, Ava Stacey all preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Charlie Ray and Wife, Mary Carmack of Overland Park, KS; a daughter, Dolores and husband, James Stacey of Jasper, AR; six grandchildren, Rickey and Ronnie Carmack, Monty and Richie Bond, Robbin Wofford, and Michael Stacey; nine great- grandchildren, Chris, Justin, and Amber Crabtree, Rickey, Crystal, Vince, Misty, Lauren, and Ozzie Carmack; six great-great grandchildren Damion Willms & Aqua Marie, Chance, Shaina, Vonnia, Chris Ray, Crabtree, and Adain and Tristin Carmack; two step-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Friday, February 5, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Batavia Assembly of God Church with Bro. Dennis Selvidge officiating.
Burial followed in Sanders Cemetery at Batavia.
Pallbearers were Michael Stacey, Chris Crabtree, Justin Crabtree, Stan Willms, Chris Kilgore, Bobby Joe Smith, and John Crabtree. Honorary Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
