Obituary
William Dorsey Jackson, age 71 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday , February 8, 2014 in Harrison.
The son of William Rufus and Thelma (Pemberton) Jackson was born on February 2, 1943 in Harriett, Arkansas.
Dorsey enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved all animals and was a successful cattle rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Gregory Jackson; and two sisters, Betty and Barbara.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Jackson of the home; a son, Tim Jackson of Harrison, Arkansas; four brothers, Donnie Jackson of Harrison, Arkansas, Jerry Jackson, Bud Jackson, and Danny Jackson all of Harriet, Arkansas and one sister, Nadra Horton of St. Joe, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Tiffany, Ross and Brice; and one great-grandchild, William.
Services were Tuesday, February 11 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with James Smithson officiating. Burial followed in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, February 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers included Roger Morris, Tate Morris, Tommy Campbell, Anthony Murray, Granvel Murray and Rethel King. Honorary pallbearers included Dale Wagner, Joel Brown, Jim Kimes, Randy Kimes, and Dorsey's nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Ozark Humane Society or Hospice of the Hills.
