Dorothy Ann West, of Diamond City, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was 79 years old.
The daughter of Frazier and Alice (Ellis) Hudson was born on August 22, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Dorothy was a devoted member of Lead Hill First Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended services and cherished the fellowship of her church family. She especially enjoyed participating in church activities and always looked forward to the many church dinners shared with friends and loved ones.
Dorothy had a special love for animals, particularly her rescue dogs, whom she cared for deeply and proudly gave a safe and loving home. In years past, she also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time visiting with friends.
Above all, Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife and mother whose kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wayne West; her parents; one granddaughter, Amber West; and one brother, John Hudson.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Mike) Thompson and Linda Collins; grandchildren, Zachary (Angela) Taylor, Kenneth Neel, Eric (Chrystal) Thompson, and Dayne (Jackie) Thompson; great grandchildren, Paisley Taylor, Lizzie and Lilly Neel, Camden and Collin Troutner, Leah, Logan, and Hunter Thompson; former son-in-law, Dale Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, both on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Lead Hill First Baptist Church. Josh Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in Dorothy’s memory or send memorial contributions to the Ozark Humane Society, 5147 Rock Springs Road W, Harrison, AR 72601.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire community for the love, support, care, and concern shown to Dorothy. They are deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion shared during this difficult time.
