Dorothy P. Schaffer, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on August 8, 2018 at the age of 92.

She was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 14, 1926 to John and Della Smith and was raised in Macon, GA.

She married her husband, Richard J. Schaffer, in 1952 in Texas and his Air Force career took them all over the United States and countries overseas.

After military life, they spent time in Massachusetts, Michigan, Florida, and eventually settling in Arkansas.  In 2014, she moved to Wyoming and lived there until her passing.  She had numerous friends and family all over the country.

Dorothy spent most of her life devoting time to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and enjoyed her job at Quality Cleaners.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Schaffer and her brothers and sisters.

Dorothy is survived by four children, John (Darlene) Schaffer, Linda Bonham, Jamie (Rebekah) Schaffer, and Jennifer Schaffer; four grandchildren Matt (Becca) Schaffer, Mike (Amanda) Schaffer, Michelle (Mark) Wolfe and Mark Schaffer and ten great grandchildren in Arkansas, Colorado, and Wyoming.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are family and friends.
