Dorothy Davis, age 96 of St. Joe, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of Oliver and Vida (Butler) Hill was born on September 6, 1920 in Tomahawk, Arkansas.

Dorothy was a member of the St. Joe Church of Christ and was a strong Christian. She was the daughter of the King and her faith meant everything to her.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very strong yet compassionate person. She also loved to spend time in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Davis; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Davis.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, R.E. Davis and wife Diane, Bill Davis, Jesse Davis and wife Jo and Glen Davis and wife Mary; 1 brother, Johnny Hill; 3 sisters, Lois Shipman, Joyce McCarley and Willodean Brightwell; 11 grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Donnie Davis, Grant Davis, Gwen McMullen, Rhonda Randall, Lisa Carden, Christy Dedios, Jason Davis, Jeremy Davis, Dale Jones and James Jones; 18 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the St. Joe Church of Christ with Joe Blair and Jerry Willis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Stone Cemetery at Tomahawk.

Pallbearers include Joe McMullen, Woody Methvin, David Davis, Bud Gregory, Marvin Joe Brightwell and Grant Davis.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to Hospice of the Hills, 501 E. Sherman, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
