Don McGarrah of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away January 18, 2022, in his home, with his wife of 38 years by his side. Graveside services were held Jan 20, 2022, at York cemetery in Bergman.,

Don was born May 19, 1956, in Neosho, Missouri to Orville Edward and Wilma Mae (Harris) McGarrah. Don and Gail have lived in Harrison, Arkansas for the past 38 years. Don was raised in a simple country setting with parents who raised their children in church.

Don loved hunting and was excited to teach his kids to hunt. He enjoyed being with them in the woods and just as excited as they were when they brought in their big game.

Don was generous with his love for his kids and grandkids and held the title of Pa with pride. He was known for his family bar-b-ques. Showed no mercy in games of Croquet, backgammon, and ruthless in games of Monopoly. But the fun was had by all, and wonderful memories can still be told of those days.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Orville McGarrah, his mother, Wilma McGarrah, his brother, Dennis McGarrah, his nephew, Clayton McGarrah, his hunting buddy, Daniel Kersey.

He is survived by his wife, Gail McGarrah, their daughter, Dawna her husband Jesse, and grandchildren, Jordan and Landon Layfield;  his son, Elijah and his wife, Savannah and grandchildren, Alexa and Kaitlynn McGarrah; his son, Jeremy and grandkids, Kate and Christian Mcgarrah, his daughter, Tania and her husband, Kris Gibson and granddaughter, Keara; his daughter, Sondra and husband, Dan and grandchildren Christina, Johnathan Drew; his daughter, Leanna and her husband Brian, and grandchildren Taylor, Breanna and Hailey Buntjer.

He is also survived by his brothers, Bo, Dewey, Dwight, Darrell and his sisters, Delinda, Debbie, Deanna and Delena.

Don will always be remembered for his laughter and love of family.
