Donna D. Ellis, 90, passed away on September 22, 2026. She was born on December 16, 1935 to Carter Silver and Dorothy (Adams) Silver in Talking Rock, Georgia. Her family later moved to Arkansas where they settled in Yellville, Arkansas.

Donna graduated from Yellville Summit High School where she played basketball. After graduation Donna joined the United States Women’s Army Corps where she met her husband, Jerry Ellis, they were married for 56 years. Donna became a military wife keeping the family together while her husband served 31 years in the military including two tours in Vietnam. Donna was the glue and strength that held the family together through the many travels around the United States and Europe. The family finally retired in Harrison where she worked at Harrison furniture and Flex-steel. Her hobbies included reading, gardening and researching her family history. She was known for her storytelling of the family and their history. She was a member of Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, her son William F. Ellis; her daughter Sharon Ellis-Champagne; her son in law, Jeff Champagne; her sister Patricia Kowan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband,Jerry.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date.
