Donna V. (Passmore) Campbell, of Dover, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas at the age of 89.
The daughter of Asa and Gertha (George) Passmore was born May 6, 1927 at Oxley, Arkansas.
She was raised in Oxley and spent most of her life in Vendor and Dover, where she moved in 1970. She attended Dover Freewill Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and attending church, until her health no longer permitted. She enjoyed spending time at the senior center in Russellville. She also loved horses and talking about the horses she had in her childhood.
Donna raised 9 children, including 3 sets of twins that she had in three and a half years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who had dedicated her life to taking care of her family. Her home was always open to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Gertha (George) Passmore, her husband, Vade M. Campbell, a daughter, Donna Sue Waldo, 2 grandsons, David Waldo and Chadrick McCutcheon; a great grandson, Aaron Sims; her brothers, Robert, Elmer and Jimmy Passmore and Guy Sifton; her sisters, Berlene (Dean) and Jeraldine (Jean); and 2 sons-in-law, Gene Walker and Ray Gunter.
Donna is survived by 2 sons, Ronnie D. Campbell (Judy) of Mt. Judea, AR, and Brandy Lee Campbell of Dover, AR; 6 daughters, Jimmie Hankins Atkinson (Clell) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Patsy Clark (Larry) of Dover, AR, Vada Lou Walker of Dover, AR, Connie Campbell of Harrison, AR, Wanda Freeman (Boyd) of Dover, AR, and Euna McCutcheon (Rickey) of Mt. Judea, AR; a son-in-law, Donnie Waldo, Sr., of Dover, AR; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her and will miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Rev. Steven Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Scott Hankins, Richard Garland, Jimmy Ray Gunter, Lee Walker, Freddie Don Flud, Brinkley Campbell, Chad McCutcheon and Donnie Waldo, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Kimberly Staton, Teresa Sims and Tana Henson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, 501 E. Sherman, Harrison, Arkansas, 72601.
