Donald LeeRoy VanScoy, of Peel, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 64.  He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 17, 1958, to John Everett VanScoy, Sr., and Eleanor Louise (Moore) VanScoy.

Don moved to Arkansas 40 years ago and had attended church at First Baptist Church of Valley Springs.  He enjoyed all types of hunting, especially deer, arrowheads and morel mushrooms.  He loved nature and spending time on the lake on his pontoon.  He also loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lora Lou VanScoy, and three brothers, Dave, Jim, and Ed.

Don is survived by his daughters, Sabrina Williams, Robin Townlin and husband Derek, and Tabatha K. Johnson, all of Harrison; his twin brother, John Everett VanScoy, Jr., and his brother, Ronald VanScoy; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Western Grove Cemetery with Pastor Sean Milliken officiating.  A private celebration of life ceremony will be held for the family after the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison to help defray final expenses.
