Obituary
Donald Earl Ouderkirk, age 67 of Jasper, AR passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at his residence.
The son of Forrest Charles and Marie Jane (Wells) Ouderkirk, was born September 15, 1940 in Kansas City, KS.
Donald had worked as a fireman for the city of Lawrence, KS and was an avid hunter and sportsman, enjoying all things outdoors. He had moved to Newton County about seven months ago from Bell Plain, KS.
His parents preceded in death, along with his brothers, Forrest and Jimmy Marvin, and a sister, Bonnie Lou Ouderkirk.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria (Collins) Ouderkirk, of the home; his children, Richard Dwayne Ouderkirk and Donna Marie Blackmon, both of Haysville, KS; a brother, Harry Ouderkirk of Salem, OR; and a sister, LaJune Rice of Richland, WA. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Jason Flory, and Cassi, Brandi, Tyler, Courtney, and Hunter.
There will be a private memorial service.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
