IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dona Reeta
Wilkerson
September 2, 1941 – May 17, 2024
On May 17, 2024, at the age of 82, mom walked hand-in-hand with Jesus as she left this life for all that awaited her in heaven.
Dona Reeta (Baker) Wilkerson was born September 2, 1941, in Joy, Arkansas to Leland Lonzo (LL) Baker and Reba Nell (Barnett)Baker. She married the love of her life, Perry Wilkerson, on December 31, 1960, and together they built an amazing life.
Mom loved her family. Family gatherings in her backyard pavilion brought her tremendous joy. She delighted in watching her grandchildren, and in later years her great-grandchildren, play and roam the farm. Summertime cookouts with her family present were special occasions for her.
Mom's favorite past-time was watching her beloved Razorbacks. For over 40 years, she has followed Razorback football, basketball and baseball. She knew the coaches, players and all the stats. She would share her vast Razorback knowledge with you whether you wanted to hear it or not.
But as much as she loved her family and Hog ball, she loved her Jesus more. Through the years she had served Him in many capacities: as church pianist, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, cook for the Wednesday night kids' program and so much more. Her heart's desire was to lead others to Christ.
Mom is survived by her daughters, Lynn Chandler of Everton, Arkansas and Lisa (Shawn) Smith of Western Grove, Arkansas; a special son, Eric (Dawn) Keymon of Stanford, Illinois; her grandchildren, Shannon (Tim) Jordan of Cassville, Missouri and Dustin (Katie) Hefner of Harrison, Arkansas: her great grandchildren: Noah, Kaiden and Alyia Jordan; and Ella Hefner; and her sister, Lou Morrison of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Perry Wilkerson; and her brother, Ellis Baker.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
