Don Fiant, 89 of Harrison, Arkansas went to meet our Savior Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Don was born May 9, 1933 in Clifty, Arkansas to Charles and Rosie (Betts) Fiant. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children, Gloria (Newhart) Fiant; his son, Scott Fiant; and sisters, Jessie Rose Eaton and Charlene Halbert, and a brother, Burldean Fiant.

Don is survived by his daughter, Michelle Fiant; grandchildren, Christina, Jamison and Tess; great granddaughters, Zohelaina and Eden all of Oregon; one sister, Sharon Emerson of Harrison, and many nieces and nephews that will mourn his passing.

Don loved traveling, that included 8 years in the Navy, where he was privileged to visit other countries. After his first 4 years in the Navy, he attended college in Chico, California.  He enjoyed reading.  He worked in various jobs over the years, from truck driving, diesel mechanic and Greyhound bus driver.  He retired as a supervisor from Santa Clara County Transit in San Jose, California.

He took care of his mother for 5 years before her passing.  He later moved to Harrison in 2016 to be close to his sister and her family.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Shiloh Bible Church in Harrison with Pastor Mike Moore officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 6, at Friendship Cemetery, 1980 S. Friendship Rd, Springdale, AR, 72764.

There is no visitation.
