Obituary
Dolores Catherine Myers, age 87 of Pelsor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Jasper, Arkansas.
She was born December 16, 1926 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Carl Henry and Loretta (Degitz) Gerke.
Dolores was compassionate, loving, charitable, and had many friends wherever she lived. While living in Arkansas, she worked at Booger Hollow Gift Shop and was a census taker. She was active in the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District, the Cattleman's Association and Take Back Arkansas. Back in Indiana, Dolores did the accounting and payroll for Myers Sawmill, and was a Sunday school teacher at Wolflake Baptist Church. She was also active in the Happy Homemakers Home Extension Club and the PTA.
She moved to Newton County in 1971 from Wolflake, Indiana.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Lee Myers to whom she was married on November 8, 1947. Also surviving are three sons, Mark (Donna) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kevin (Pamela) of Pierceton, IN and Bryan of Pelsor, AR; granddaughter, Ruth Ayers (Andy) of North Manchester, IN; grandson, Jeffrey Myers (Susan) of Noblesville, IN; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Stephanie, Jordon and Samuel Ayers and Riley and Avery Myers.
Funeral services were Monday, December 23, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Visitation was Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Ed Manor, Tom Gage, Leroy Adams, Jeff Adams, Casey Campbell and Freddie Reddell.
