Dixie Lee Watkins, age 63 of Harrison, Arkansas entered into the Lord's presence Friday, December 19, 2014 at her home.
The daughter of Beason Lee and Dixie (Brown) Moore was born October 25, 1951 in Harrison.
Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was always the one who kept her entire family together while enjoying special occasions with all of them.
She was a member of Restoration Life Fellowship and the Christian Motorcyle Association being active in the Christian Motorcyle Prison Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law, Olen and Erma Watkins.
Survivors are her husband of 26 years, Dale Watkins of the home; children, Beason Glenn Taylor, Dalene Rogers, and R.D. Taylor and wife Nikki, all of Harrison, and Tabitha Lynn Boyd and husband Curtis of Quitman, Arkansas; brothers, Gary Moore and wife Judy of Harrison, Terry Brown of Garden City, Missouri, Rick Moore and wife Caffie of Harrison, and Jesse Moore and wife Jennifer, all of Harrison; sisters, Janet Claunch and husband Tom of Warrensburg, Missouri, Brenda Smith and husband Doyle and Jane Barnes, all of Harrison; grandchildren, Brittany, Dalton, Hannah, Alivia, Joshua, Colby, and Cory; great-grandson, Steven "Bam Bam"; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her very special dog, Scruffy.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.
Memorial service was Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Restoration Life Fellowship with Pastor Jeanine Wilson and Pastor Mike Moore officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of the Hospice of the Hills.
Interment will be held at a later date in the Walter Smith Family Cemetery at Batavia.
There has been a college trust fund set up for Dixie's grandchildren at Community First Bank or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills.
As Dixie always said "It'll be alright". We love you Dixie.
