Obituary

Dianne Hammer, age 76, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on November 2, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1947, in Batesville, Arkansas, making her the first baby born in a tuberculosis Sanitorium in the state. Dianne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family unconditionally and without apology, extending her love not only to her blood relatives but also to her church family.

Dianne had a deep passion for her Lord and Savior, which was evident to all who knew her. Throughout her illness, she found solace in sharing Jesus with those she met along the way. As a lifelong learner, she possessed a wealth of biblical knowledge and enjoyed mentoring the women in her church. Dianne's faith was a guiding light in her life, and she was a long-time member of Silver Beach Church and Rome Community Church before moving to Harrison, where she became a member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her strong faith, Dianne had a love for crafting and sewing. Her creativity shone through her beautiful creations, including a cherished Christmas quilt she recently made for her daughter. She also enjoyed painting and drawing, expressing her artistic side through various mediums.

Dianne is survived by her beloved husband, Howard, her children Darryl and Gayle (Paul), and her grandchildren Maddie Cake, Peyton Pooh, and Busy Belle. She was preceded in death by her son Vincent Hammer. Dianne was also a loving daughter-in-law to Howard Sr. and a doting great-grandmother to Asa and Skylan, with another great-grandchild on the way.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Dianne's life will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Union Baptist Church, located at 3021 State Hwy 206, Harrison, AR. The service details will be coordinated by Coffman Funeral Home, located in Harrison, AR. Contributions in memory of Dianne can be made to the Union Baptist Children's Fund, a cause close to her heart.

Dianne Hammer touched the lives of many with her unwavering love, faith, and creativity. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her spirit continue to inspire and guide us as we remember her remarkable life.
