Denver L. Lewis, age 89 of Nail, AR passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at North Arkanas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR. The son of George Washington and Addie (Wages) Lewis was born January 20, 1917 at Redstar, AR. He was a farmer and a lifetime resident of Newton County. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nettie (Woods) Lewis and two brothers, Lee and Herb Lewis.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Janice Lewis of Nail; two sisters, Ruby Hodge and Mable Price of Wichita, KS; a brother and sister-in-law, Rufus and Adith Lewis of Oceanside, CA; three granddaughters, Barbara Curtis, Teresa Grayson, and Lisa Adams all of Nail; four great grandchildren, Sarah and Kyle Adams and Kimberly and Jared Curtis. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Services were Saturday, July 22, at Mossville United Baptist Church. Dorlin Sparks and Bobby Young officiated. Burial followed in Mossville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Woods, Arlis Woods, Kennie Woods, Landon Woods, Billy Woods, Kevin Robertson, Calvin Neff, Steve Adams, Charlie Curtis, and Dwight Grayson.
