Dennis Ray Shatwell, age 76, of Vendor, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. 

The son of Talmage and Ethel (Martin) Shatwell was born January 25, 1950 at Red Rock, Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of Newton County. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Shatwell. 

Dennis is survived by his brother, Bill Shatwell, Sr., and sister-in-law, Evelyn Shatwell; his nieces and nephews, Billy Shatwell, Jr. (Amy), Patricia Shatwell, Melinda Evans, and Tim Shatwell; several great nieces and great nephews; and his close friends, Mike O'Neal, Howard Criner, and Junior Martin. 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 6 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery at Vendor. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper or Harrison to help defray final expenses.
