Obituary
Dennis Kilgore, age 59 of Batavia passed away at his home on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
The son of Jim and Avo (Woodruff) Kilgore, he was born August 31, 1949 at Harrison, AR.
A lifetime resident of this area, he attended Assembly of God Church and was a farmer. He enjoyed gardening and was known for the nice vegetables he grew. His grandchildren were very special to him and he enjoyed spending time with them.
His brother, Manuel Kilgore preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Darlene (Smith) Kilgore of the home; one son Chris Kilgore of Batavia; one daughter, Melissa Brown and her husband, Justin of Batavia; one sister, Patricia Flinn of Harrison; five grandchildren, Travis Kilgore, Kalin Nicholson, Olivia and Brayden Brown, and Bradley Kilgore.
Visitation was open Monday, Feb. 2nd, service is Tuesday, Feb. 3rd at Coffman Funeral Home with burial in Sanders Cemetery at Batavia. Bro. Tollie Sutterfield officiated.
Pallbearers were Randy Spencer, Lonnie Spencer, Jerry Cantrell, Steve Christ, Randy Raynor, and Ronnie Wheeler. Honorary pallbearer was Travis Kilgore.
