Dennis Gene Hunt, Sr., 83, of Bergman, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at home.

The son of Ray and Eva (Bigelow) Hunt was born on December 10, 1940 in Taney County, Missouri where he developed his love of basketball hunting and fishing. He retired from UPS after 25 years and was a member of the Bergman Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Cecil, Basil, Kenneth, Bobby, and Stanley and his sisters Jesse and Sandra Hunt and Eula Knight.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna (Sullivan) Hunt of the home; a daughter Deanna (Robert) Braden of Harrison; a son Dennis (Rebecca) Hunt, Jr., of Nixa, MO; two sisters, Helen (Jim) Listerman of Ozark, MO, and Patsy Wells of Bergman; four grandchildren, Bobby (Ashley) Braden of Harrison, Brittani Braden of Centerton, Andrew (Erica) Hunt of St Louis, MO and Bailee Hunt of Springdale; five great grandchildren, Graham, Ryder, Asher, and Isabella Braden of Harrison and Ellie Hunt of St Louis, MO; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, July 24 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with the visitation one hour before the service beginning at 10 AM. Vince Stewart will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Hunt, Dennis Daniels, Todd Hunt, Scott Stewart, Bobby Braden, and Rick Moore.

Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Barnard, Garry Roberts, and his brothers in Christ.
