Deloris Young Stamey, age 62 of Harrison, Arkansas fell asleep in Jesus Wednesday, October 21, 2009, where she waits for Jesus' soon return. There was a memorial service held Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Harrison SDA Church on Capps Road with Pastor Stephen Vicaro officating.

Deloris was born in Harrison, the daughter of Bill and Dorothy (Slape) Young. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry T. Stamey of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Scarborough and husband, George of Harrison and Clarissa Moore and husband, Roger also of Harrison; a son, William Henry Stamey of Harrison; three brothers, Charles Young and wife, Rada of Warrensburg, Missouri, Willie Young and wife, Darlene of Bergman, and Marvin Dean Young of Ashflat; two sisters, Sharon Gwatney and husband, Mike of Harrison and Charlotte Smith of Harrison; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Jearl and Linda Stamey, Linda Hedrick (husband, the late Junior Hedrick), Elaine Stamey (husband, the late Dee Stamey) both of North Carolina, and Mary and James Slape of Wheatland, Missouri; and also numerous other friends and extended family.

Deloris was an active member of the Harrison SDA Church and was a homemaker.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
