Della Darlene Armer, age 74 of Compton, AR, passed away August 9, 2015 in Harrison, AR.
The daughter of Tom and Nelta L. (Laird) Byrd was born January 28, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas.
She was a member of the County Line Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the Compton Fire Department. She enjoyed riding mules and helping with the community pancake fundraiser. She retired from Harrison School District as head cook and also worked at Dogpatch USA for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tom Byrd; brother Ron Byrd; her first husband Arvil Armer, her second husband Connie Gibbins; and her uncle, Norman Laird.
She is survived by her mother, Nelta "Dene" Armer of Harrison; her sons and daughters-in-law, Shannon and Vanessa Gibbins of Western Grove, AR, Ricky and Raylene Armer of Fordland, MO, and Allen and Karen Armer of Compton, AR; her grandchildren, Evan Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins, Shayna Gibbins, Stephenia Armer, Erick Armer, Lacy Armer and Jessica Armer; seven great-grandchildren; and her aunt Linda and Troy Edwards of Shallow Water, TX.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Brother Steve Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Plumlee Cemetery in Compton, AR.
Pallbearers will be Evan Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins, Erick Armer, Dustin Gibbins, Jerrett McNair, Josh Armer, Neal Edwards, and Austin Hatcher.
Honorary pallbearers are Compton Volunteer Fire Department and everyone at the County Line Baptist Church.
