Delbert Ray Henderson, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Cox Medical Center in Branson. He was 82 years old.
The son of Corbey and Bertie (Plumlee) Henderson was born on February 3, 1944 in Parthenon, Arkansas.
Delbert was a man with a generous spirit and a servant's heart, always willing to help others. He attended New Hope Full Gospel Church and Miracle Lighthouse Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing, and he never missed an opportunity to share a story. Blessed with a natural gift for storytelling, Delbert could keep family and friends entertained for hours. He also had a passion for music, enjoying both listening to and performing it. Whether playing an instrument or singing, he found particular joy in bluegrass gospel music. Delbert's kind heart, strong faith, and love for people will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Henderson; and two sisters, Eulene Garrison and Freda Murray.
Survivors include two sons, Steve and Jimmy Henderson; two sisters, Harriet Hill and Leona Chasteen; several grandchildren; and a host of niece, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Graveside service is Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Union Hill Cemetery in Parthenon. Pastor Arlis Burks and Pastor Arvin Adams will officiate. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Honorary pallbearers include Darvin Adams, Darrell Youngblood, Arvin Adams, Bradley Woods, Spanky Woods, Stanley Henderson, Mike Henderson, Kolby Curtis, Freddie Youngblood, his friends at Beacon Park, and all of his church family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Beacon Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coffman Funeral Home to help offset final expenses.
