Delbert Floyd Campbell, age 100, of Mt. Judea, AR, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville, AR.
The son of George Washington and Thenia Paralee (Foster) Campbell, was born October 10, 1907 at Mt. Judea, AR.
He was a mechanic and had lived most of his life in Newton County. He attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Russellville.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Susie Campbell; six brothers, Herbert, Lunie, George, and Binum Campbell, and Matthew Tennison, Jr. and Troy Tennison. Also by sisters, Walsie Hammons and Grace Scinetti.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Devoe and Joyce Campbell of Russellville; his two daughters, Imogene Johnson of Russellville and Juanita Fay Sexton of Pelsor; one sister, Mildred Royce of Mt. Judea; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Services were held Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the funeral home Chapel with Lester Chisum and Charles Christian officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Judea Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Nichols, Randy West, Glen Garrison, Glen Campbell, Donnie Campbell, and Charles Campbell.
