IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Sue
Mapes
January 29, 1957 – September 11, 2025
Deborah "Debbie" Mapes, of Harrison, passed away at Hospice of the Hills House on Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was 68 years old.
The daughter of Earman and Lorene (Adams) Sain was born on January 29, 1957 in East Saint Louis, Illinois.
Debbie was a devoted Christian whose life was centered on her love for God and her passion for sharing His endless love with everyone she met. She had a smile that could light up a room and a heart full of kindness, always ready to lend a hand or say a prayer. Debbie was a true prayer warrior—someone you could always count on to lift you up in faith.
She spent 20 years working at Conward's Heating and Air and later retired from FedEx after 10 more years of dedicated service. She also worked side by side with her husband, Rob, at GolfStx, throughout the years that they owned it. Outside of work, she found joy in gospel music and loved to travel—Hawaii was one of her favorite places. Debbie also had a green thumb, a gift she got from her dad, and she loved spending time in her garden.
More than anything, Debbie was a loving sister, a proud aunt, and a loyal friend. She poured love into the lives of those around her and will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought to so many.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mapes; and her parents.
Survivors include two sisters, Lisa Scheuter and husband, Mark and Valerie Wheeler and husband, Doyle; one brother, Keith Sain; nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Ben) Worthington, Nikki (Lucas) Collins, Elizabeth (Roberto) Alcantara, David Wheeler, Rebecca (Brian) Force, and Eric Sain; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Ake, Janis (John) Davis, and Carol Walters; her fur baby, Max; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Funeral service is Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Jethy Henson will officiate. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eric Sain, David Wheeler, Brian Force, Lucas Collins, Bennett Kolb, and Trevor Schanke.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Debbie's memory to Hospice of the Hills, 501 E Sherman Ave, Harrison, AR 72601.
