Debi (Olsen) Monday, age 67, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at Integris Baptist Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, surrounded by the love of her life, who never left her side and stood faithfully with her as she fought to the very end.
She was born on October 27, 1958, in Elgin, Illinois.
Debi was a “tiny but mighty” woman with a strong-willed and spunky spirit. Though small in stature, she carried a big personality and a presence that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She fought a long and courageous battle, giving it everything she had. Even in her hardest moments, she held onto hope and often said she was going to walk out and go home. In the hearts of her family, that is exactly what she did—she walked out of this life and straight into the arms of Jesus.
Her faith in Jesus was simple, sincere, and deeply important to her. Debi shared what she believed in a loving and heartfelt way.
Her favorite hymn, “It Is Well With My Soul,” brought her comfort and peace, especially during difficult seasons, reflecting the strength and calm she carried within her.
Debi also had a special gift in the kitchen. Her cooking created lasting memories for her daughters and family—memories that will be cherished and carried on through the recipes she lovingly passed down from generation to generation.
She lived her life in a quiet and simple way, finding comfort in the home and life she built. At the center of her world was her devoted relationship with her husband, Lloyd. Together they shared a steady and loving bond, enjoying camping trips, beach vacations to Destin, attending church, and simply walking through life side by side.
She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Olsen; her sister, DaleAnn McMillin; her grandparents; and her son-in-law, Joshua Edwards.
Debi is survived by her husband, Lloyd Monday, of Harrison; her daughters, Starla (Danny) Wilkinson, Jaimi Edwards, Jessica (John) Villines, and Jill (Rusty) Stephens; her mother, Donna Olsen; her brothers, Bill and Brad Olsen; and her cherished grandchildren: Justin, Jeremy, Jaden, Jackson, Jordan, Logan, Landon, Laken, Kinley, and Karsyn. She is also survived by many beloved great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she loved her Church Family at First Baptist of Diamond City and special friends, Linda and James Thomason, Cindy Rogers, and Judy Jenkins.
Debi’s life was one of strength, personality, and love—expressed in a special & meaningful way. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace, and that it is well with her soul.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 16 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be 10 AM, Friday, April 17 (2026) at First Baptist Church in Diamond City with Pastor Mark Blount officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.
