IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debbie
Colvin
August 4, 1955 – August 16, 2025
Debbie Olean Colvin, 70, of Deer, Arkansas passed away on August 16, 2025, at Northwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
Debbie passed away comfortably and surrounded by loved ones. Debbie was born in Noel, Missouri, to Van and Francis Colvin.
Debbie grew up in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with her siblings, Joe and Becky Colvin. Debbie graduated with her BSN in 1981 from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and spent the next 40 years serving as a registered nurse. Debbie met the love of her life, Florence Lansden, in 1985 and spent the next 39 years together. Debbie loved the Arkansas Razorbacks football and softball teams and could frequently be heard calling the Hogs. Debbie loved camping, fishing, power tools, and cooked a mean Éttouffée.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Van and Francis Colvin, and great nephew, Ethan Chase Shawver.
Debbie is survived by her partner Florence Lansden, and family members: Becky Burrell, Bobby Burrell, Stephanie Burrell, Colton Lindeman, Cooper Lindeman, Birdie Lindeman, Erin Shawver, Chase Shawver, Bradlee Shawver, Graham Shawver, Joe Colvin, Sam Colvin, Rebekah Colvin, Desiree Looper, Jr Looper, Morgan Looper, Dawn Acton, Deborah Dunbar, Diane Dove, Edward Acton, Todd Acton, Karla Acton, Dylan Acton, Desiree Dunbar, Luxy Dunbar, Abby Dunbar, Cyrus Dunbar, Lyndsey Acton, Grant Mullins, Archie Mullins, and William Davenport.
Debbie never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone and leave them feeling heard, valuable, and safe. Debbie was the person making everyone laugh in inappropriate situations, and we sure wish she was making us laugh right now. Debbie was authentic, stubborn, witty, hilarious, frustratingly optimistic, and loved her people fiercely. Debbie taught many of us how to do life, but nothing could prepare us for doing it without her.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date for close friends and family.
