Carl Dean Jones, of Harrison, Arkansas was born March 22, 1942 at Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Carl Jones and Edith (Youngblood) Jones.  He went to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 76.

Dean was a long-time resident of Harrison, Arkansas.  His greatest love, other than Jesus, was his family.  He was married to the love of his life, Ellie, for over 57 years.  Dean had 3 children and a son-in-law that he loved more than life.  He was always proud of his children, son-in-law, grandkids, and great grandkids, and having family get-togethers brought him the most joy.  He was a truck driver for many years and after retiring, he loved playing his guitar, and was always looking for a new song for him and Ellie to learn so they could sing it in church.  He loved singing gospel music and serving the Lord.  He spent as much time as he could cat fishing at the Arkansas River and riding his trike.  He was the most gentle, kind, caring and loving man there was and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Edith Jones and a sister, Rose Emma Walls.

Left to cherish Dean's memories are his wife, Ellie Jones, of the home; children, Russell Jones, Deanna Gray and husband Mark, and Jay Jones all of Harrison; sister, Virginia Hiveley of Olivehurst; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Colliver and husband Jeremy, Jamie Villines and husband Clint, Carl Jones, David Jones and Brooke Jones; 6 great grandchildren, Grayson Colliver, Addilynn Villines, Jaxson Kidd, Allyson Graves, Isaiah Graves and Link Edwards.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Hatfield, Anthony Bower and Darrell Still officiating.  Burial will follow at York Cemetery in Bergman.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Russell Jones, Jay Jones, Jeremy Colliver, Clint Villines and Mark Gray.  Honorary Pallbearers are Gerry and Rosie Bryant, Clyde and Peggy Ransom and Jim and Bev Hatfield.
