David Wayne Sparks, of Jasper, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.  He was 79 years old.

The son of Gilbert and Elizabeth (Taylor) Sparks was born on January 27, 1944 in Chestertown, Maryland.

David was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served overseas in Germany.  He worked in construction and cabinet making and was a longtime resident of Newton County.

Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Reyna and Kevin Jones; three grandchildren, Emily, Ian, and Meredith; and his significant other, Sandra Barnette.

At David's request, no service will be held.
