Obituary
David J. Roland, Sr. age 59 of Marble Falls, passed away, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Harrison Hospice House. The son of Robert and Joyce (Stanfield) Roland, he was born Feb. 24, 1950 at Dennis, Mississippi. He had served in the U. S. Army and was a cotton farmer. He just recently moved to this area from Marked Tree, AR and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
His parents preceded him in death along with brothers, Bob and Tommy Roland; sisters, Linda Pierce, Glenda and Mary Stanfield; and one niece, Rhonda Hawkins.
Surviving are his sons, David Roland, Jr. of Harrison and Gary Roland of Mtn. Home; daughters, Sandra Mayfield and Jeannie Lewis both of Harrison and Sheryl Denstedt of Mtn. Home; a brother, Melton Roland and a sister, Virginia Daiz both of Marked Tree; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Marked Tree, AR.
Cremation and arrangements have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
