Obituary
David Wayne Marshall, age 38 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 20, 2015 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was born on March 16, 1977 in Jasper, Arkansas to Darvin Wayne "Dee" Marshall and Debra Denise "Debbie" (Smith) Marshall.
He was of the Pentecostal faith.
David worked at Ricketts Sawmill until his health made him stop. He was a kind and gentle hearted man. He would give away things he had even if it meant he would do without. He loved spending time with family and friends camping, hunting and just hanging out.
He fought many battles in his life, but this battle he did not choose. He may have lost this battle but he won the war, when he gave his heart to Jesus. He has finished the race.
He is preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents Leland and Minnie Marshall and Darrell and Jimmie Smith.
Survivors are his brother and sister-in-law Craig and Leslie Marshall of Russellville; a son whom he loved dearly, Jonathon Marshall of Russellville; several aunts, uncles, a lot of cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Fellowship Tabernacle at Mt. Judea with Jerry Marshall and other family officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Judea Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Piercetown Community Church.
Pallbearers were Keith Campbell, Brad Cross, Chad Zabawa, Brent Marshall, Leslie Marshall and Jason Ricketts.
