David R. Hefley age 59 of Harrison, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at his home.

The son of J.W. and Alice (Middleton) Hefley was born May 6, 1951 in Harrison, Arkansas.

He enjoyed watching old western movies with his dogs, Willie, Booger and Ellie Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Hefley; and his father-in-law, Norman Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bernetta (Drewry) Hefley of the home; his father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Bernard and Iola Drewry of Harrison; and his mother-in-law, Wanda Hamilton of Marshall; two sisters, Linda Martin and husband, Jimmy of Western Grove and Darlene Kent and husband, Jerry of Mt. Judea; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Bryant, Chris Martin, Jason Martin, Jody Clayborn, and John David Hefley (who was raised by David and Bernetta for 15 years) and many great nieces and nephews.

The service was Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Bobby Brown officiating. Burial followed in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Pallbearers were Chris Martin, Jason Martin, Stephen Bryant, Bill Boswell, Bob Cash and Donald Greenhaw.

Honorary pallbearers were Tammy Boswell, Stacy Cash, Rhonda and Randy Watkins, Kari and Jeff Fountain and their children, Cade, Brock and Ashley Fountain, Celie and Brian Barnard, Alta and Ben Eddings, Lawrence Drewry, Dianna Greenhaw, Faye Savage, John David Hefley, Lacey Yarbrough, Dr. Jackson and staff of Crossroads Medical Clinic, co-workers at Fed-Ex Express, Jeff Sanders, Dr. Joe Melton, and Ron and Mary Waldon
