Lavern David Eddings, age 79 of Deer, passed away, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR.

The son of Jay and Edith (Smith) Eddings was born on April 15, 1943, in Red Rock, AR.

David was a member of the Jasper Church of Christ for many years. He was a Hog farmer and an Ironworker. He enjoyed camping, hunting, basketball, and coaching basketball.  He was the best grandfather and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Jean (Breedlove) Eddings; his son Lee Allen Eddings; and his brother Ervin Eddings.

David is survived by his sons, Kenny Eddings and wife Dana of Deer and Michael Shawn Eddings of Harrison; his sister, Jessie McCutcheon and husband Jimmy of Mt. Judea; his grandchildren, Meagan Smith, Kendrea Stuart and husband Cory, Cassie Chase and husband Travis, Kalee Emerson and husband Chase, Michael Shawn Eddings and wife Temara, Mason Eddings, Alex Eddings, and Michael Eddings; his great-grandchildren, Seeley Chase, Layla, Legend, and Lakely Eddings; and his sister-in-law, Tracy Eddings of Dover.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
