Obituary

Pastor David A. Cross, age 51 of
Mt. Judea, celebrated his long awaited homecoming on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at the Regency Hospital in Fayetteville.

The son of George Cross and Lottie (Brown) Cross, he was born July 23, 1957 at Kansas City, MO.

David lived in Kansas City until he was 17, then moved to this area. He worked at Flexsteel Industry for 30 years as a Rip-Saw Operator.

He served as pastor of the Piercetown Community Church for almost 20 years and was a dedicated and faithful servant for the Lord. During his ministry he was influenced by all his fellow evangelist's and preachers.

He was a dedicated husband and father and will be missed very much by all that knew and loved him.

His hobbies were fishing and hunting but his main goal in life was to reach as many souls, as possible, for the Lord.

All his grandparents preceded him in death along with several uncles; 3 brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; a nephew; his father-in-law and mother-in-law; and a very special friend, Danny Bolin.

Survivors include his wife, Regina (Marshall) Cross of the home; two daughters, Courtney Farmer and husband, David of Hasty and Whitney Cross of the home; two brothers, Ernie Cross of K.C., KS and Steven Cross of Camden Point, MO; one sister, Sharon Hubbard of Hasty; his nieces and nephew, Tawnya, Chad, Kelsey, Sondra and Trinity; several nieces and nephews by marriage; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was Monday at Mt. Judea Church with burial in Mt. Judea Cemetery. Pastor Wesley Ricketts and Rev. Jerry Marshall will officiate. Nephews were serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were David Farmer, Daniel Tennison, Jason Ricketts, Justin Reddell, Allen Bolin, Terry Middleton, Jimmy and Bob Cross, Jackie Owens, all his brothers-in law, and all his Flexsteel buddies.

Memorials may be made in his memory to Piercetown Community Church, HC 72 Box 66D, Jasper, AR 72641.
