Obituary

David Lynn Casey, age 52 of Harrison, AR passed away July 7, 2019.

He was born December 6, 1966 to Wallace Eugene Casey and Phyllis (Daniels) Casey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Eugene Casey; and his grandparents, Lawrence and Effie Casey and Vearl and Marie Daniels.

David was the song leader at Pine Grove Church for over 20 years, he was also the teacher for the adult class.  His last testimony, the morning of his death,  was how proud he was that his parents raised him right and how proud and thankful he was of his wonderful wife, his boys and their wives and his grandchildren, and how he was a blessed man.

He was an electrician and carpenter all his life. He built many houses and repaired and helped numerous people with their needs.  He followed in his father's foot steps and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He made several trips to Colorado to Elk hunt with his sons, family, and friends.

David has taken many steps through these Ozark Mountains.  He never knew a stranger and worked hard to care for his family.  He was a leader in the Pine Grove Church and almost never missed a service.  He left a great legacy to be followed and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Karen (Faught) Casey, three sons of which were his pride and joy; Calvice Casey and wife Nickie of Mt. Judea,  Samuel Casey and wife Isabelle of Smith Mountain and Isaiah Casey of the home. David took joy in his 3 grandchildren, Ezekiel Casey and Charlotte Casey and one that will be here in January.

He is survived by his mother Phyllis Casey; four brothers, Wallace Casey and wife Barbara of Harrison, Ryan Casey and wife Augusta of Smith Mountain, Joey Casey and wife Jessica of Harrison, and Anthony Casey and wife Jennifer of Nail; one sister, Linda Dodson and husband Robert of Smith Mountain.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Edith Faught of Deer; one brother-in-law, David Faught and wife Rosemary of Jasper, two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Petty and husband Jason of Harrison and Ashley Faught of Deer; and his grandmother-in-law, Patsy Smith of Lowell, AR.

He has 16 nephews, 6 nieces, 5 great nephews and 6 great-nieces that all survive him.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, AR. with Calvice Casey and James Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in Deer.
