Obituary
David Josiah Boyd, age 21 of Hasty, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011.
The son of Larry E. and Bonnie L. (Gardner) Boyd was born December 25, 1989 in Peoria, Illinois.
He was a member of Newton County Baptist Church and was a Missionary for Rock Haven Ministries. He served in the ministry for several Newton County Churches.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roswell Gardner.
Survivors are his parents, Larry and Bonnie Boyd of Hasty; sisters and brothers, Amy Boyd of Seattle Washington, Sharon Boyd of Union Grove, Wisconsin, Jonathan Boyd of Union Grove, Wisconsin, and Joshua Boyd of United States Marine Corps; his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Pat Boyd of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; maternal grandmother, Grace Gardner; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Newton County Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Strumlund officiating.
Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Rock Haven Ministries for the David Boyd Memorial Fund.
