David L. "Dave" Bailey, of Bergman, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 79.

He was born at Bergman on March 22, 1940 to parents, John Gray and Lenna (Fode) Bailey. He was a lifelong resident of Bergman and had attended Bergman Assembly of God.

Dave graduated from Bergman High School in 1958 and worked at Claridge Products for over 40 years. He loved the Lord and reading his Bible. He never ate a meal that wasn't prayed over. He was a family man, dedicated, faithful and loyal. He was also a diligent, hard worker, never missing a day of work. Dave was a man of few words, but would gladly give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed working outdoors and going to auctions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Inez Barnes, two infant great-grandchildren, and three brothers-in-law, Jim Taylor, Albert Fode and Lester "Pete" Taylor.

Dave is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Bailey of the home; his children, Wayne Bailey and wife Brenda of Bergman, Rebecca Bailey and Dennis Bailey both of the home, Daniel Bailey of Bergman and Sherie Everhart and husband David of Hilltop; a brother, Don Bailey and wife Grace of Leslie, MO; four sisters, Ruth Taylor, Mary Fode, Norma Collins (Curt) all of Bergman and Dixie Taylor of Pea Ridge, AR; twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Jordan, Darin, Chelsi, Gerrick, Chase, Mikayla, Sierra, David "Bubba", Hana and Clara Mae; 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended relatives that loved him and will miss him.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Billy Edgar officiating. Burial will follow at York Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Christopher Heitz, Darin Bailey, Mitchell Smith, Wayne Bailey, David "Bubba" Everhart, Jarrett Adams and Chase Bailey.
