Danny Lance Kolb, 66, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on August 9, 2025, in Harrison. He was born on May 3, 1959, in Liberal, Kansas, to Perry Kolb and the late Katherine Sickler (Stoddard).
Danny married Carolyn Jean (CJ) on September 16, 1992, and together they built a loving, blended family. He is survived by his children: Brandon Kolb, of Hugoton, Kansas, with four children; Jessica Kolb-Lewis and husband, Chris, of Hugoton, Kansas, with three children, and three stepchildren with five grandchildren; and Shawn Kolb and wife Amanda of Liberal, Kansas, with two children.
Danny was also a proud stepfather to four children: Sheri Buettgenbach (preceded him in death) with three children and one grandchild; Windy Dillon and husband, Dennis, of Harrison, Arkansas, with four children and seven grandchildren; Robin Blackburn and husband, Phillip, of Pikesville, Kentucky, with four children and six grandchildren; and Raymond Bailey and Eliza Johnson, of Newton, Kansas, with six children and four grandchildren.
Survivors also include his father and stepmother, Perry and Judy Kolb, of Newton, KS; and two sisters, Teresa Henderson and husband, Scotty, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Deborah Kolb, of Parsons, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine; a brother, Jeff; a niece, Sarah Emily; and grandparents, Pete and Julia Stoddard and Frank and Hazel Kolb.
A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Danny will be laid to rest proudly wearing his Chiefs attire. His graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas. There is no visitation. In honor of Danny's wishes, those attending are asked to wear casual attire.
Danny will be remembered for his love of NASCAR, his down-to-earth nature, and his passion for cheering on his Chiefs. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Danny Kolb Memorial Fund in care of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book.
