Damon C."Jack" Passmore, age 86, of Harrison, AR passed away Tuesday, January 30th at Harrison Nursing Center (Golden Living Center)in Harrison.
The son of Coy T. and Rebecca (Milum) Passmore, was born April 12, 1920 in Harrison. He served his country as a medic during WWII in the Aleutian Islands and the European Theatre, and was discharged at the rank of Tech Sgt.
He was a carpenter, and a "jack of all trades". He enjoyed camping and fishing immensely. Recently he worked in maintenance and carpentry for Hudson's Grocery and Doug Hudson.
Damon was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Isaac Passmore; a sister and brother-in-law, Inice (Passmore) and Isaac Majors; and a grandson, Stuart Bryant.
Survivors are his wife, Nola Mae (Edwards) Passmore of the home; three sons, Cloyd James Passmore and his wife, Judy, and Robert Earl Passmore, all of Harrison, and James Dale Bryant and his wife, Virginia of Paducah, KY; a daughter, Jo Ann Wilkinson of Harrison; five grandsons, five granddaughters, six great grandsons, five great granddaughters; a niece, Mary Arbaugh of Springfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, at Coffman Funeral Home, Service was Thursday, at the funeral home chapel with Dr. James D. Bryant and Rev. Raymond F. Edwards officiating. Burial was in Burlington Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Wesley Passmore, Michael Shane Passmore, Richard Allen Scaggs, Kevin Henry, Kirk Goodrum, and Kris Isham. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Hudson, John King, and all former and current employees of Hudson's Grocery.
