Dennis Dale Crunkleton, age 88, of Everton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at Hillcrest. He was born October 12, 1936 in Everton to Chester and LaVern (Young) Crunkleton.
Dale spent his life in the service of others. He taught school for 38 years, most of those were at Valley Springs. He was a dedicated mentor to countless students, who will remember him with fondness and respect. He was also a basketball referee for over 30 years.
Dale loved being a farmer. He raised beef cattle and spent hours at his favorite farming job, raking hay. He loved sports and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Valley Springs Tiger fan. In his retirement years, he enjoyed visiting Silverton, Colorado.
He was a faithful member of Bellefonte Church of Christ where he served as an elder for 36 years.
Dale loved his family and never met a stranger. He was loved and admired by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Faye Crunkleton.
Dale is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathryn (Ross) Crunkleton; daughter, Denise (Jim) Kimes; two sons, Kenny (Heather) Crunkleton, and Tim Crunkleton; six grandchildren, Kanyon (Brooke), Kitty, Christianne, Rossalynn, Chet, and Cecilia; one great grandson, Kole; a brother, Wayne Crunkleton; a sister, Mava Lou (John) Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
The visitation will be held at Bellefonte Church of Christ on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
The funeral service will be held at Bellefonte Church of Christ on Wednesday, July 9 at 10 AM. Ray Crawford and Jon McCormack will officiate.
Burial will follow at Western Grove Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Pallbearers are Jim Kimes, Tom Taylor, Chester Taylor, Rick Crunkleton, Cody Crunkleton, Kanyon Kimes, and Chet Crunkleton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Crunkleton, John Taylor, Bellefonte Church of Christ Family, Staff of Hillcrest Brookside Rehab, Dr. Kenny Collins, and Dr. Raymond Bandy.
