Obituary

Coy William Willis, age 86 of Deer, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.

The son of Gaither and Minnie (Smith) Willis was born September 3, 1926 at Murray, Arkansas.

He began working at age 15 in the wheat harvest in Kansas. He worked in the timber and worked construction for John Crouse and then retired to farming.

He was a devoted Dad who loved and provided for his sons and wife and always put them first.

He lived most of his life in Newton County and was a Mason, but most importantly, he was a member of the Lone Beech United Baptist Church.

Coy and his loving wife, Adella were blessed to celebrate 65 years of marriage on September 19, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adella; his parents; one son, Randall Kevin Willis; a sister, Clersie Daniels and three brothers, Walter Willis, Wilburn Willis and Tommy Willis.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Donella Willis of Dover, Arkansas and Donnie and Marsha Willis of Deer, Arkansas; one brother, Lewis Willis of Kansas; four grandchildren, Chad Willis, Chandra Willis Carpentar, Adam Willis and Sarah Willis Walker; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Carpentar and Allie Walker; a very special friend, Karla Mel and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bobby Young and Garland Brasel officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Cemetery at Wayton under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Willis, Andrew Walker, Jarrett Willis, Jack Vasluski, Adam Willis, Gerald Daniels, Clinton Daniels and Tom Mercer. Honorary pallbearers will be Chandra Carpentar, Sarah Walker, nephews and nieces, Lone Beech United Baptist Church members and Dr. Dunaway and staff.
