Coy Glen Brasel, age 78, of Jasper, AR, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at his home.

The son of Guy and Jessie (Breedlove) Brasel was born May 14, 1944, in Parthenon, AR.

Coy was a member of the Jasper Assembly of God Church. He was the secretary and Sunday school superintendent.  He was a volunteer at the Jasper Fire Dept. for 20 years and managed the Jasper Cemetery for 12 years.

He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends who he loved very much. His loyalty and love were felt deeply by those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffrey Glen Brasel; and his sisters-in-law, Katheryn Brasel and Jimmie Sue Brasel.

Coy is survived by his wife Judy Wallace Brasel of Jasper; his daughter, Tamara Brasel McKinley and her husband Michael; his brothers, Garland Brasel, Jerry Brasel and wife Doris, Billy Wayne Brasel, Roy Brasel and wife Sue, Kenneth Brasel and wife Ava, and Harold Brasel and wife Karen; his sister, Janis Essex, and husband Coy Lee.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Madison Tanner Barber and husband Jackson, Clay Tanner, Tony McKinley, Christy McKinley, Kaylee Stuart and husband Seth, Ashely Middleton & Dustin Blevins, Malachi King Brasel, Jada Blakney, and Gio Ramirez; and his great-grandchildren, Alyssa McKinley, and Emma Winchel.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Holt and Pastor Raymond White officiating. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael McKinley, Clayton Daniels, Jackson Barber, Seth Stuart, Dustin Blevins, and Chris Blakney.

Honorary pallbearers are Brother Jim Martin, and all of Coy's brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
