Corbie Carl Berry, age 101 of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of Molee Berry and Cora (Faught) Berry was born on April 6, 1911 at Deer, Arkansas.
He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department after 37 and 1/2 years; was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of Newton County.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years and five months, Stella Berry; one son, Burl Berry, one daughter, Pearl Reese and seven brothers and sisters, Oliver, Zettie, Stella, Ormer, Arvey, Effie and Ortha.
Survivors are two sons, Freddy Berry of Little Rock, Arkansas and Ben Berry of Renton, Washington; two daughters, Lura Curran of Clarksville, Arkansas and Karen Andrews of Harrison, Arkansas; one brother, Harlie Berry; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Rev. Marshall Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Deer Cemetery at Deer, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Jim Horton, Tony Horton, Ronnie Faught, Vern Crafford, Armil Curran and Austin Curran.
