Obituary
Connie J. Gibbins, age 65 of Compton, Arkansas passed away at his home Friday, September 26, 2014.
The son of Clefford and Freda (Allred) Gibbins was born February 2, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas.
Connie was in the timber industry and was a truck driver. He worked for McNair Timber Company and Davidson Lumber.
He enjoyed riding mules, tending to his garden, fishing, and riding 4-wheelers with his son and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Ron Byrd.
Survivors are his wife, Darlene Armer of the home; son, Shannon Gibbins and wife Vanessa of Western Grove, Arkansas and their children, Evan, Kevin and Shayna, step-sons, Ricky and Allen Armer; brother, Donnie Gibbins and wife Wilma of Compton; sister, Debbie McNair and husband Lonnie of Harrison; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was Monday, September 29, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Service was Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Bro. Donnie Villines officiating.
Burial followed in Plumlee Cemetery with pallbearers being Evan Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins, Jerrett McNair, Dustin Gibbins, Verl Davidson, Erick Armer, Lonzo Davidson, and Randall Usrey.
Honorary pallbearers were Shayna Gibbins, Lacey Usrey, Lane and Chase Gibbins, Taylor and Bryanna McNair, Lacy, Jessica and Stephenia, and Connie's coffee drinking buddies at JB Trading Post.
