Clara Lee (Dunbar) Harless-Thevenin passed away July 4, 2017 in Harrison, at the age of 86.
The daughter of Basil Flynn Dunbar and Dorothy Faye (Jackson) Dunbar was born on October 26, 1931 in Beckley, West Virginia; and married on September 11, 1949 to Junior Joseph Harless in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was the second of five children; Clarence, Eva, Betty and Gretta
She was preceded in death by Junior Joseph Harless, her husband of 48 years, Arthur Thevenin, her husband of 10 years and her only daughter Constance Lynn Harless.
Clara is survived by her two sons, Joseph Harless and wife Dawn and her younger son James Lee Harless, son-in-law Mac McClellan, a sister Gretta Jean Warner, of Douglas, Wyoming; 6 grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel and Augustus Harless, Ryan, Ross and Ean McClellan; 5 great grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews, plus many great nieces and nephews.
She graduated high school in Columbus, Ohio and attended Mesa Community College at the age of 47 and received a degree in Geology and Design.
She enjoyed cooking sewing, decorating, was an avid reader and loved keeping her home nice. Everyone loved going to Clara's house. She was always hospitable and gracious. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses she loved her family in the faith, and she also loved sharing bible truths about her God, Jehovah. She will be sorely missed.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1504 Highway 7 North in Harrison, Arkansas with Tom Miller officiating. Immediately after the services family and friends are invited to Northark South Campus, JPH Building.
