Christopher Michael "Chris" Hunter 47, of St. Joe, Searcy County, AR, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the family farm.

Mr. Hunter was born December 9, 1968, in North Kansas City, MO, the son of Hobert Hunter and Coeta Robertson Hunter.

He lived in the Kansas City, Gladstone, Holt, and Liberty, MO area until 2007 when he moved to Lampe, MO with his wife, where he worked at Dry Dockers, before moving the St. Joe, in 2015. Since moving to St. Joe, he enjoyed working on several cabin/house renovation projects and auto mechanics.

Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Leisha Hendrix Hunter, of the home; one son, Michael Christopher Hunter of Liberty, MO; two brothers, Jamie Hunter of Ecru, MS; Bill Hunter of St. Joe, AR; three sisters, Pat Zubkin of St. Joe, AR; Sharon McIntyre and her husband Don of Gladstone, MO; Cheryl Rice of Lebanon, MO; one granddaughter, Zoie Marie Hunter of Kansas City, MO; three nieces, six nephews, two aunts, one uncle and many other relatives and friends who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Gary Hunter officiating. No graveside services will be held.

Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Hunter, Bill Hunter, Jamie Hunter, Josh Hendrix, Jason Lewis, Travis Rice, Joe Hunter, Jeremy McIntyre and Kelly McIntyre.
