Chessie L. Rand, age 94 of Omaha, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of Henry and May (Barker) Williams was born on July 28, 1921 in Boone County, Arkansas.

Chessie was a devoted Christian and a member of Cloverdale Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years and love of her life, James "Edd" Rand; a grandson, Jimmy Leon; and 2 sisters, Cliffie Marler and Jessie Raines.

Survivors include a sister, Lena Mae Blevins; 2 brothers, Johnny Williams and Roy Lee Williams; her children, Betty Wallis and husband Buddy, Sue McDougal and husband Glyn and Rick Rand and wife Patty; 5 grandchildren, Tracey Montgomery and husband Dallas, Michael Wallis and wife Trena, Josh Rand and wife Tegan, Jeremiah Rand and Isaiah Rand; 5 great-grandchildren, Talley Berry, Trevor McKibben, Breiana Wallis, Gracie Rand and Harrison rand; 1 great-great-grandchild, Ella Berry and many other friends and family.

Her favorite time was her Bible reading and feeding the birds. She loved her hummingbirds!

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Curly Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 am in the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Gass cemetery.

Pallbearers will include rick Rand, Josh Rand, Jeremiah Rand, Isaiah Rand, Michael Wallis and Larence Blevins. Honorary pallbearers include Glyn McDougal, Buddy Wallis and B. J. Jones.
