Charlotte Evis Ramsey, 84, of Deer, Arkansas, died Thursday, February 22, at Countryside Health and Rehab of Newton County, in Jasper, Ar. She was born January 9th, 1940, in Jasper to Ben and Mabel Brasel. She married at the young age of 16 to the love of her life, Charles Ramsey and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage before his passing in 2015.
She devoted her life to her family, her friends and her church. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, taking nature walks, horseback riding, fishing and many other outdoor activities. She also loved serving in the children's area of the church and was loved by all, young and old alike. From cooking, to playing games or doing puzzles, drawing or sewing, her days were spent caring for those around her. Her love for her Savior and her joy in Him was always evident. She was a lady with a gentle and quiet spirit. Whatever task she took on you could hear her humming or singing old hymns with the radio playing in the background. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ramsey, her parent's, Ben and Mabel Brasel, a sister Beverlee Ann Brasel, three daughters, Baby Ramsey, Deborah Lea Ramsey, Leslie Charlene Wilson; and her brother Johnny Brasel.
Charlotte is survived by 2 daughters, Jewelle Trask and husband Chris of Green Forest, AR; Valerie Cosentino and husband Bob of Cathlamet, WA; 3 sons, Phillip Ramsey and wife Lori of Greers Ferry, AR; Tony Ramsey and wife Elisa of Springdale, AR; Matthew Ramsey and wife Heather of Hot Springs, South Dakota; and a Son-in-law Jim Wilson of Joplin, MO; 2 Sisters, Denna Dickey and Kathy Villines; 1 brother Bennie Brasel; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday, February 26th, 10:00 AM at Coffman Chapel in Jasper with Pastor Tony Taylor officiating and burial at Swain Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Alex and Colton Fancher, Tad and Tobi Ramsey, Aiden and Payton Ramsey,
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons.
Visitation is Sunday, February 25th, 2-4 at Coffman's Funeral Home, Harrison, AR
