Obituary

Charlotte Ann (Williams) King, the daughter of Howard and Nan (Ahrens) Williams was born on August 5, 1947 in Independence, Missouri.  She passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side in Jasper, Arkansas on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Charlotte was a devoted member of Homer Congregational Church, Temple Baptist Church, and the Newton County Nursing Home Church Service. She went to Van Horn High School, attended Central Missouri State and SUNY Cortland. She became a 6th grade English and History teacher at Tully Elementary School and Union Christian Academy. She affected many students lives through the Liberty Partnership Program (LPP) and as a Girl Scout Leader.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Howard and Nan Williams.

Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie Hoffman of Lafayette, NY and Stacy (David) Potter of Ruston, LA; sister, Phyllis Love of Springfield, MO; two brothers, DeWayne (Larisa) Williams of Shreveport, LA and Lowell (Camelia) Williams of Grain Valley, MO; four grandchildren, Brent, Racheal, April, and Jacob; two great-granddaughters, Autumn and Raelynn; an uncle and aunt; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

The family would like to thank the employees of the Newton County Nursing Home and Countryside Nursing and Rehab Center for all their love and care.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ruston, Louisiana.
