Charles David "Charlie" Mulanax, age 61 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home.
The son of Louis and Osea Gertrude (Shearrer) Mulanax was born January 27, 1953 in Harrison, Arkansas.
Charlie was a truck driver and worked in construction. He enjoyed singing George Jones songs and especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Preston, his grandchildren, Kelby and Kaden and all family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors are his children, Julia Anne Mulanax Curtis of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Joy Porter and husband, Brian of Belle Vista, Arkansas, Charleen Hinchman and husband, Luke of Harrison, and Preston Mulanax of the home; brothers, Harold Dean Mulanax and his wife, Maxine of Springdale, Don Mulanax and his wife, Deb of Peel, Arkansas and Jim Mulanax and his wife, Freda of Harrison; sisters, Judy Estes of Bergman, Arkansas, Deborah Young of Enid, Oklahoma and Kathy Bass of Harrison; and grandchildren, Kelby and Kaden Hinchman. He is also survived by his first wife, Lana Kay Campbell Harp and Preston's mother, Shawna Griffin.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.
There will be a memorial service 12 Noon Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Peel Full Gospel Church with Bro. Verlin Brown officiating.
There will be a potluck dinner at the church following the service.
Honorary pallbearers are all of those he enjoyed singing and playing music with.
